Walking holidays in Greece

Island-Trek Adventures specialise in guided walking holidays in Greece from the island of Kefalonia.

We have guided many groups of walkers in Kefalonia over the last 8 years, and all of them believe that it's the perfect way to really discover this beautiful and un-spoilt island, and a great walking holiday.

We all had such a wonderful time. The weather, the food, accommodation, the walks and the leaders. I think it was the best one we have had for a long time.

A bit about Kefalonia island

Kefalonia is rich in diversity and blessed with some of the most dramatic scenery in the region, an ideal location for a walking holiday in Greece. From the National Park of Mount Ainos at 1628m (higher than Ben Nevis), which dominates the island with its presence, to the compelling beauty of the wild countryside, fauna, fertile valleys, 50 varieties of orchid, citrus fruits and grapes, picturesque Greek villages and a coastline with an endless number of beaches.

Such variety in natural beauty makes this an ideal destination for walking holidays in Greece and we are sure that you will find Kefalonia an unforgettable experience. Little known and little explored unlike many of its neighbouring islands, Kefalonia remains largely unscathed by tourism.

The walking was perfect, between 6 and 10 miles and always ending at a beautiful beach for a swim. The guides we so informative about everything we felt they have been bought up on the island.

A lovely climate

From April to the end of June and again in October and November, Kefalonia is a vibrant mass of flowers, their colours creating a colourful tapestry mixing with the scent of wild herbs and pine. During the day the temperature ranges from 15C - 25C, the evenings can be a little cooler and a jumper is sometimes needed when the sun goes down.
